AERIAL LiDAR SERVICES

Aerial LiDAR (light detection and ranging) is a remote sensing technique that uses laser pulses to measure distances. LiDAR is less sensitive to the current weather, time of the year, or time of the day during which data is collected. This technique can generate high-resolution 3D topographic surface information more rapidly due to its ability to penetrate vegetation.

Cooper utilizes aerial LiDAR services to supplement and strengthen our photogrammetric process.

We acquire, process, and validate LiDAR data sets in house and each LiDAR project is flown with large format aerial photographic sensors. 3D LiDAR software is used with photogrammetric software, which allows us to view 3D point clouds with the aerial imagery.
